On April 4, 2019, the Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana, presided over a naturalization ceremony in which 16 foreign-born individuals became United States citizens. On February 7, 2019, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana held a naturalization ceremony, during which 14 individuals were naturalized as new United States citizens. During the partial government shutdown, this court, as part of the Judiciary, has continued operating using court fee balances and other “no-year” funds. Paid operations using this funding can be sustained by the Judiciary through
